Tundub, et maanteesõidus on SHOW hetkel esikohal, "puhas sport" koos kõigi kahtluseussidega peab talle teed tegema.

"LeMond vs. Armstrong
Interbike reports that 550 media members attended the show, a double-digit increase over last year. No doubt some were there primarily to cover Lance Armstrong's early morning press conference on Day 2.
You've probably heard what happened. Armstrong intended to discuss his racing comeback and cancer initiatives, but he was confronted about doping by Greg LeMond. America's greatest cyclist before Armstrong sat in the front row and was granted the first question. Immediately sparks started flying. I was 3 rows behind Greg and couldn't hear all he was saying, but it dealt with Armstrong's plans to undergo independent drug testing to prove his cleanliness.
LeMond has often stated his doubts that Armstrong raced dope-free while winning 7 Tours de France. Greg said he has concerns about the type of testing Lance will undergo (or not undergo). He also questioned the autonomy of the person in charge, ex-UCLA drug clinic chief Don Caitlin, whose services are being paid for by Armstrong's team, Astana.
As LeMond continued, Armstrong rolled his eyes. Then he cut him off, saying drug testing was not what this press conference was intended to discuss.
"Greg, can I just step in for a second?" Armstrong interrupted. "You've done your job. It's time for everybody in the room to move on. Next question."
About 20 minutes later LeMond again spoke up, this time for a longer period. He addressed questions and recommendations to Caitlin, who was sitting at Armstrong's right. The clinician replied that the type of testing LeMond was pressing for (power, VO2 max) was outside of his expertise. But he told Greg that all suggestions would be considered.
Armstrong in person is no different than the guy we've seen so much of in other interviews. He arrived in jeans and a black LiveStrong T-shirt, not appearing too blown after the previous day that began with a Clinton Global Initiative meeting in New York City and ended with 22nd place in the CrossVegas cyclocross race. He cracked a couple of one-liners about his comeback and then replied thoughtfully to questions. Armstrong dealt reasonably with LeMond -- it sounded somewhat like a parent admonishing a child -- and he didn't let that situation become overly confrontational. There was thick tension between them.
The room was noisy with chatter among some 200 media people when Armstrong arrived. Like turning off a volume switch it reverently fell silent as he walked down the aisle to the stage and microphone. A couple dozen cameramen descended. "Wow," Lance murmured in the strobe light of flashes. At the end of the session some media members (if that's who they were) applauded him -- another sign of journalism's decline."

Believe it or not, non-cyclists sometimes think they have something interesting to say, have an interesting hobby, or an interesting experience to relate. Still, for the sake of propriety, you must act as if you care. Feel free, as they talk, to pleasantly daydream about biking. Just smile and say, "Absolutely," from time to time.

Re: Lance tuleb tagasi?
Narri meest aga mitte mehe mütsi Selle vana kossiga on Lance võitnud 7 Tuuri + kõik muu alates juuniori east. Tegu on Selle San Marco Concor Light sadulaga.
Re: Lance tuleb tagasi?
Vastupidi, minult tuleks sellise osas respekt.
